Cinder Cone Trail is a 1.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Dammeron Valley, Utah that features breathtaking views and is listed as moderate.
The first time we hiked Cinder Cone Trail, we didn’t read the signs properly and ended up hiking straight up the volcano. And by straight up, I mean grasping at the dirt, sliding everywhere with no good footing and the legitimate fear of falling to our death.
Don’t be us.
Take the designated trail.
Either way, getting to the top is well worth it.
The top of the cinder cone gives you 360 views of the Diamond Valley area and all of Snow Canyon
You can also see another cinder cone off in the distance!
The second time I hiked this, I hiked it alone. Trust me when I say, this hike is NOTHING compared to climbing straight up it. In fact, I trail ran it and made it to the top in 15ish minutes.
I climbed it alone so my husband could get a drone video of me on the top! It turned out AMAZING!
